Frequently Asked Questions

How long do you shoot for on the day?

I usually arrive about two hours before your ceremony is due to begin, and start capturing the preparations. Then I stay all day until just after the first dance, or until I have captured plenty of epic dance moves!

Where are you based?

I live in Sherwood Forest, Nottinghamshire but I shoot weddings all over the UK, and beyond.

Do you travel for weddings?

Travel throughout the UK is included in all of my packages. However, if your wedding takes place 2 hours away from Nottinghamshire then a small overnight accommodation fee will be added to your package price.

Can we meet you before booking?

It’s not always possible for me to meet up in person with everyone who enquires, but if you’d like to have a chat before booking I’m always around for a video or phone call. After booking, I always try to get together with my couples for a coffee before the big day to discuss all the details and get to know each other!

How do we book you for our wedding?

If you’ve decided that you’d like me to capture your day (yay!), I will send over a booking form for you to complete and draw up the paperwork. I require a £400 deposit to secure your date, which can be paid via bank transfer. As soon as I receive this, you’re all booked! In the run-up to your wedding day, I’m always around if you need any advice or want to ask any questions. Keep me in the loop with your plans, I love to hear how your day is panning out!

Are you insured?

Absolutely! I have public liability and professional indemnity insurance.

How long after our wedding do we receive our photos/videos?

You will receive a sneak peek of a selection of images within a few days of your wedding. I always aim to deliver your photo gallery and videos within six to eight weeks after your wedding, however in busy times it may take a little longer.

What happens if you’re ill on the day?

Touch wood, I’ve never missed a wedding. If I absolutely cannot be there for whatever reason, I will send a replacement photographer/videographer with a similar style in my place. I am part of a wonderful network of friendly and supportive wedding photographers who are always willing to help out in cases of emergency.

Can you use our favourite song on our highlights video?

Due to copyright reasons, it isn’t possible to legally use commercial tracks on your wedding highlight video. In the early stages of editing your film, I search through a library of high-quality, cinematic, copyright-free music to find a soundtrack which reflects the mood of your day. I can involve you in this process if you’d like to help choose a track!
